Hal tersebutlah yang menjadi sorotan utama anggota Komisi IV DPR RI Dapil II Kalbar Yessy Melania usai berkunjung ke Desa Sungai Bakah dan Nyanggai, Kecamatan Pinoh Selatan, Kabupaten Melawi, Borneo Barat.

Yessy yang dalam kunjungan kali ini merupakan rangkaian reses masa persidangan I Tahun 2019 mendesak pemerintah pusat memperhatikan persoalan infrastruktur dasar tersebut. Agar potensi pertanian yang ada dapat tergarap maksimal sehingga mampu mendorong masyarakat menjadi swasembada.

"Secara umum masyarakat sangat tertarik untuk terjun ke sektor pertanian karena melihat banyak potensi juga tapi terkendala infrastruktur dasar seperti jalan dan jembatan. Masyarakat meminta perhatian lebih dari negara untuk infrastruktur di Kalimantan Barat khsusnya Melawi," ujarnya.

Selain permasalahan infrastuktur menurut Yessy, masyarakat Melawi juga menitipkan permasalahan di bidang pendidikan dinilai masih sangat minim juga perhatiannya. Yessy mengaku siap memperjuangkan apa yang menjadi keluhan masyarakat tersebut di DPR RI.

"Infrastruktur dasar merupakan modal utama untuk bisa menunjang perkembangan sektor lain sperti pertanian, perekonomian, kesehatan, pendidikan dan lain sebagai. Kami juga akan terus mendorong pembangunan dan perbaikan infrastruktur dasar di Kalbar, karna mengingat juga kemampuan secara anggaran di tingkat Kabupaten juga sangat terbatas," pungkasnya. (*)
